We collect personal information from you, including information about your:

We don’t collect:

- Specific location
- Contacts or networks
- We don’t cross check your supplied data with any other service
We collect your personal information in order to: process donations and memberships and communicate with you. Where collecting data is required we explain why, usually because its a legal requirement for that purpose, for example registering for the political party. We keep your information safe by encrpyting it. You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected or totally removed if you think it is wrong or no longer want us to have it. We do not store credit card information, that is only collected by Stripe, our payment system.

Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies and tracking.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day. You agree that for any public content you place on the site is your responsibility to supply source information

Embedded content from other websites

Who we share your data with
Absolutely noone receives our membership or usage data. If you sign up to our political party then we are required to share all the data you gave us when signing up to the Electoral Commission in order to validate our political party application as required by law. We don’t send them any other data other than what you completed in your sign up form.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

We reserve the right to remove or decline your membership or content if it is perceived by our committee or membership to be not in the best interests of the organisation or democracy in New Zealand, and that’s at the sole discretion of our committee.
Subscription Terms:
Subscriptions are paid in advance and you may cancel any subscription at any time by logging in and doing so. You may also cancel with Stripe our payment provider if the first method doesn’t work. Subscriptions and memberships are not refundable for any reason.
