Interesting take by Dave Brownz, but I wonder, does standing upright in the wild South imply a heroic struggle against nature or a bold embrace of its raw beauty? Arguably, ones interpretation may reveal more about their worldview than the text itself. Thoughts, anyone?
Just read Dave Brownzs piece on The Daily Blog. Interesting perspective, but did anyone else feel like he oversimplified the complexities of the Wild South? Also, does standing upright always necessarily mean progression? Isnt it subjective? Keen to hear your thoughts, mates.
While I appreciate Dave Brownzs take on Standing Upright in the Wild South, I cant help but wonder if his worldview is perhaps influenced by a certain romanticization of the rustic life. Do you think its possible to fully appreciate the complexities of urbanized societies when youre so far removed from them? Just some food for thought.
